Calling you out

There is just something about when Jesus speaks that grabs my heart, and my full attention. I love what His words do to me. They make me think, and ponder, and make my heart jump around, and I just want more of Him.. For a few weeks, I have been hearing God tell me to rest. To just rest in His presence and focus on Him. To come into this place can be difficult because there are always a million things going on at once in our family, but I have been finding that time to come into rest and in His presence. It leaves me in smiles. I cant describe the feeling of being in Gods rest. Mostly He has shown me a new love, that I haven't experienced before.. This is the only way I can describe His rest is love.. It equals His love.. His presence on the other hand keeps my fire burning.. I'm in love and on fire! <3 This spoke to me today as confirmation, to continue to go deeper, soak, and rest in Him..

Luke 5:1-11 One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, Now go out where it is deeperr, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking. When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.Jesus replied to Simon, Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

“Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”

This verse was one of those times, where I fall into a puddle on the floor! Jesus wants me to go deeper..

Jesus calls you out of the crowd.. A crowd who is love with Jesus too because they are pressing in.. Pressing in to hear more  and know more of Him. But Jesus is a Shepherd. He is the perfect Shepherd who cares about His whole flock, but He cares about each one individually. He grooms, and loves on each of His sheep personally.

Corporate church is amazing, but this can hinder growth because sheep think that is the relationship, and they leave it at the church and Jesus, when in fact the relationship is between a you and Jesus.. We are all called into a relationship with Jesus, and called to be united together with the church..

Jesus is calling you out and wants to tend to you, and for you to go deeper with Him..When you get deeper you make the church better!

Church can be tiring, and draining. You are serving in this ministry, and that ministry. You are toiling all night with nothing to show.. But that isn't what Jesus wants us to do. He wants us to listen to Him, go deeper, He will show and tell us what to do. He wants our labor to overflow, and it will overflow if you go deeper, press in, listen and obey His voice. "We worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.”  And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear!  A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking."

Isn't this the truth.. Sometimes when someone goes deeper with Jesus, they are so excited and passionate, that they call out the other sheep to come and see the overflow, and to come out deeper too, to experience the overflow and the intimacy!

When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.

Peter was amazed and humbled. Peter went deeper with Jesus, he listened, he saw the overflow, he was passionate, and excited, he told others, then he was humbled, and fell to Jesus's feet, he was amazed.. I can testify. I have done all these same things Peter has done, and in this order.. This event had nothing to do with Peter. It all had to do with Jesus.

Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

Works of Jesus are so humbling that you can be afraid. Some people may not enter into this because they are afraid of the unknown. I love how Jesus rebukes the religious leaders when He did the miraculous, and they said he was working for satan. Sometimes I think that this is true still today. People are afraid to enter in because they somehow relate it being from satan. They are so afraid of the awesome power and works of Jesus, they cant even fathom it, that when they see or hear about it they demonize it.

Then Peter who went deeper, and those who entered into this amazing overflow literally left all of the overflow at the shore, and continue to follow Jesus.. They didn't stay around to mess with the fruit, or take it to show it off, sell it.. They left it and continued on.. They were so humbled and in love that they didn't want to be out of Jesus sight..

Jesus is calling you out.. He is calling you out to go deeper with Him and to press in.. This type of relationship and love is indescribable..
